BioMedica - One entry point into a very diverse territory

BioMedicas´s cultural diversity contributes to its sustainable growth.

Within Biomedica, we have 280 employees, not only from our territories but from almost all continents, in the world. With different perspectives, ideas, and cultural backgrounds, we can support innovative ideas by picking up trends from all over the world. Furthermore, being part of AdLife and all the sister companies in the European field also contributes to cultural diversity.
After becoming part of AddLife, we have established 12 fully-owned subsidiaries, are present in 13 countries, and speak 15 languages. Nine of our countries are members of the European Union, and we use 10 different currencies. Being that diverse, we have to ensure that we comply with all legal regulations, not only local but also European ones. MDR and IDDR are examples of what is coming up in the next few years, we have to consider.
Because of this diversity, we have to establish good regulatory affairs in the quality management system, where we incorporate all the new regulations to be able to sell our products in various countries. Having such a broad portfolio, we can serve many different customers in the healthcare sector. 75% of our business comes from government funding, and 25% from private customers. Our customers include hospitals, laboratories, research institutions, universities, and industries such as the pharmaceutical, biotech, and food industries.
Our suppliers appreciate that Biomedica, with headquarters in Vienna, provides an entry point into a very diverse territory. We continuously have to adapt to all local and European regulations, and we developed our quality center last year, which gives all our employees access to process instructions, policies, and training, making their lives a lot easier. This setup enables us to adapt to market needs, which are also continuously changing. I'm convinced that this cultural diversity contributes significantly to our sustainable growth.
